Fresh, new, and different was our direction with this fun editorial! Eden, from Eden Strader Photography, asked me to design this shoot after it had already been nesting in her mind for some time. I heard her vision and thought this will be tricky, but so worth it if we can do it right.

I’ll let you in on a secret, we did way more than just right.

Something Eden and I have always connected on is color! We both actively seek to create designs that love on color, as we have seen that the wedding industry loves subtle and neutral color palettes. There is nothing wrong with that, we just feel like color doesn’t get as much love as it should.

We designed this editorial for the couple who has no shame in painting their day in colorful vibes! Whether it be lavender backdrops, bright pink + dark blue chairs, you’re game and ready to step out of the box. We started with the wedding invitation suite, that Michelle Richardson absolutely slayed! Imagine if you received that wedding invitation in the mail!? Wouldn’t you be stoked to attend!? I know that those are the small things I appreciate as a guest, so I’m always teaching the importance of the little details to my couples. The touches are what paint the whole picture and make the experience.

The next direction of this shoot was to design a moment of “We just tied the knot, now let’s celebrate!” Hence the pink suit and glossy white jumpsuit. I don’t think there’s a better way to shine together as the duo that just said hell yes on forever.
