THE WEDDING MATH EQUATION YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Start by dividing your desired wedding budget into the number of months you have to save up.
- For example, you’re getting married in a year and you and your partner have decided on a wedding budget of $50,000. Therefore, you will need to save $4,166 each month.
WHERE SHOULD YOU BE SAVING YOUR MONEY?
The same way you have a savings account for yourself is the same way you have a savings account specifically for the wedding. Open a wedding account together & celebrate with cocktails after! The goal is to enjoy the journey, no matter where you’re at in the planning process.
WHAT ARE SOME WAYS YOU CAN CUT BACK ON WEDDING COSTS?
- Limit your guest list! Less is more is the mindset! The total cost goes up and up as long as you’re adding more guests.
- Have your wedding on a weekday, as venues sometimes cut their prices in half on weekdays.
- Identify your non-negotiables, this will help identify the other area’s you don’t need to spend so much on.
SHOULD WE EVER USE CREDIT CARDS?
If you can’t pay it off in 30 days, don’t do it. Plain and simple. Credit card debt defeats the purpose of why you’re here. All this will do is make you stress even more!
THE ONE PIECE OF ADVICE WE WISH EVERY COUPLE KNEW!
All the things you find to stress about don’t actually matter at all. The time will fly, so please slow down, be present, and focus on the marriage! We appreciate the detailed placards for each guest and all the intimate details, but if all its going to do is make you argue with your partner, say no. It’s not worth it.
