The weather was flawless, and the best vendors were ready to come together to create a magical day at this breathtaking Baja Luna wedding in Cabo. When Trinh and Kevin, a couple from San Francisco, decided they couldn’t wait any longer to tie the knot, they knew they needed a venue that would not only match their vision but also provide an unforgettable experience for their guests. After being together for ten years, they hired Belle Bodas Events just seven months before their wedding day in March, and the universe seemed to conspire to make everything perfect.
We recommended Baja Luna to Trinh and Kevin because it perfectly aligned with their design vision and offered an extraordinary culinary experience. Baja Luna is more than just a venue; it’s a mango farm committed to giving back to the Earth. The venue’s kitchen and bars source fresh, local ingredients, most of which come directly from their own farm. They grow a variety of fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers, ensuring that every meal served is made with love.
Baja Luna also practices zero-waste cooking, utilizing both composting and vermi-composting systems. Their mission to be completely solar-powered and maintain on-site honey bees further demonstrates their dedication to creating a sustainable and biodiverse community. This deep connection to the Earth and commitment to sustainability made Baja Luna the perfect setting for Trinh and Kevin’s celebration of love.
The ceremony took place in Baja Luna’s stunning chapel, a space designed as a tribute to the moon. The chapel’s circular shape and eight dedicated sections represent the different phases of the moon, with each section carrying its own symbolism. The entrance, representing the New Moon, symbolizes new beginnings and intention, while the altar, representing the Full Moon, symbolizes completion and transformation. This unique and meaningful setting provided the perfect backdrop for Trinh and Kevin to make their loving commitment to each other, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the symbolic power of the moon.
After the ceremony, guests were treated to a memorable cocktail hour that perfectly combined elegance and fun. Custom Mr. & Mrs. cocktails were served alongside gourmet bites and a refreshing fruit-flavored paleta cart. The atmosphere was made even more enchanting by a duet that played the harp and violin, performing cover versions of popular songs that guests could recognize and enjoy.
As the cocktail hour drew to a close, guests were invited to line up under the custom tunnel lighting installation at Baja Luna, creating a grand and awe-inspiring transition to the reception area. Every moment was designed to captivate and impress, ensuring that Trinh and Kevin’s Baja Luna wedding day would be remembered as a truly spectacular celebration of love.
The reception was designed to be nothing short of spectacular, with a massive custom lighting installation covering every part of the space. From the guests’ tables to the dance floor and lounges, the entire area was bathed in a warm, enchanting glow. Trinh and Kevin wanted this area to be grand and jaw-dropping, and we made sure every detail reflected their vision. As guests took their seats, they were greeted by custom circular menus with their names on the front—a design inspired by the chapel’s intention of honoring the moon.
The evening began with a heartfelt opening toast from Kevin’s dad, setting the tone for an unforgettable night. The transition to dancing was marked by a thrilling champagne sabering ceremony, where the couple used a traditional Mexican machete to open the bottles. Kevin insisted that the rustier the machete, the better, and he proved it by perfectly sabering two bottles of champagne!
The couple then took to the dance floor for their first dance, kicking off a night of celebration. The lighting installation embraced the dance floor, creating a magical atmosphere that kept everyone dancing and celebrating long into the night. We can’t recommend Baja Luna for your destination wedding enough!
